Bhavana (Nanda) is a young girl on the threshold of life ??? she dreams of love and marriage. Her father is a postmaster, who has also adopted his niece. Bhavana???s brother is studying in college. Events take a tragic turn when the postmaster unwittingly commits a crime in order to help a distressed woman. He becomes a social outcast and also serves a brief term in jail.
