Poonam is a self-absorbed woman who only thinks of her own pleasures, at anyone's expence. One night she leaves her husbands home to meet her lover, only to find death waiting for her. Amit, Poonam's husband, moves on with his life and meets Rajeshwari (Waheeda Rehman). They fall in love and get married shortly there after, but unfortunately, Raj's homecoming and Suhaag Raat both turned out to be unwelcoming and lonely. Poonam's servant, Dai Ma (Lalita Pawar), is very clear to express her disapproval of the new bride. She boldly declares that no one can compete with Poonam or take her place. The murder mystery begins when Poonam's ghost begins to haunt Rajeshwari
