| This album features a performance given on 16th July 2007 by Ustad Wasifuddin Dagar in the Grand Auditorium of the Bibliotheque Nationale de France in Paris. The occasion was a memorial concert held to pay tribute to the renowned Indian musicologist Deben Bhattacharya.
The performance consists of three ragas. First an extended performance of Bhimpalasi with a full Dagar-style alaap and composition in chautaal. Then follows Adana with a dhrupad in sultaal. Pakhawaj accompaniment is provided by one of India's leading players, Pandit Mohan Shyam Sharma. Finally the Ustad presents a rare raga, Bengal Bhairav, with an unaccompanied composition.
This release comes with in-depth performance notes written by Dr. Dean Morris and lyric translations by Dr. Lalita du Peron.
