| Brief Synopsis : |
"Khalsa Mero Roop Hai Khaas" is Holi Bani (Religious Poetry) of Sahib Sri Guru Gobind Singhji. This films tells the defintion of "Khalsa" and teaches us the way of life, which Guruji has ordered us to follow. Sardar Gurmukh singh is Gusikh, (Guru's true follower) who tries his best to follow the way of life which Guruji has ordered us to. People call him Khaisa (a pure man). Ten years after marriage, Gurmukh Singh becomes a father of a male child by the grace of Baba Buddhaji. Gurmukh Singh and Amrit Kaur (his wife) name the child Gurpreet Singh. A Kashmiri Panditji and his wife who get shelter from Gurmukh Singh, are killed by Terrorists. While dying, Panditji hands over his only daughter to Gurmukh Singh, who promises Panditji that he will bring up his daughter according to the Hindu Religion. Time flies like a bird and Gurpreet and Neelam grow up. Gurpreet falls into bad company and indulges in intoxication. He even cuts off his hair. Gurmukh Singh gets so angry that he throws his son out of the house. Neelam proves herself as an ideal daughter and follows her father's advice. Gurmukh Singh gets Neelam married to Arjun, who belongs to a Brahmin family. When Gurpreet finds no shelter anywhere, he comes to Neelam and gets shelter in her home. When Gurmukh comes to know about it, he gets enraged and orders Neelam not to enter is house. Suddenly, a home that was full of happiness and delightful, shatters completely. channi, who loves Gurpreet tries her best to bring Gurpreet back to Sikism, but all her attempts are in vain. So here starts the clash between Gurmukh Singh, a true follower of Sikhism, and his son Gurpreet Singh who has completely abandoned Sikhism. Does the clash finish or increase by the day? Does Neelam take her brother's side or follow her father Grumukh Singh? Does Gurpreet come back to Sikhism or spoil his whole life? Could Channi marry Gurpreet or not. |
